Week 5: God Helps Me Do Hard Things

Week 5: God Helps Me Do Hard Things This week focuses on Enoch and other examples from the scriptures showing that Heavenly Father helps us face challenges. Children can learn that they are never alone when they try to do what is right. Teaching Idea: Acting Out Challenges Read Moses 6:26–34 together, then invite your children to act out times when they felt nervous about doing something hard—like learning a new skill, sharing a testimony, or helping someone. Talk about how God helped Enoch and how He can help them too. Reading Activity: Have children dictate a short story about a time they did something hard with God’s help. You can write it down and let them “read” it back to you, practicing storytelling and comprehension. Colors & Art: Ask children to draw a “path of help,” showing themselves at the start and Jesus or Heavenly Father helping them along the way. They can use different colors for steps they took and help they received. Math Connection: Create a simple matchi...

Week 4: Jesus Christ Saves Us

Week 4: Jesus Christ Saves Us This week, we’re exploring an important story from the Old Testament: Adam and Eve and the Fall. Understanding this story helps children—and us—see why Jesus Christ’s Atonement is such a blessing in our lives. Teaching Idea: Sequencing and Discussion Print or draw pictures showing the story of Adam and Eve. Cut them out and work together to place the events in order. As you do this, ask questions like: “Why did Adam and Eve leave the Garden?” and “How does Jesus Christ help us when we make mistakes?” This helps children see the Fall not as something scary, but as part of Heavenly Father’s plan to bring us closer to Him. Reading Activity: Have your child “read” the pictures with you—telling the story in their own words. You can also highlight simple words in Moses 4:25 or Moses 5:8–11 like help , choose , or love for them to trace or recognize. Colors & Art: Give children crayons or colored pencils and ask them to draw two sentences: “Because of th...

Enhancing Early Literacy with Bible Parables As parents and educators, we understand the importance of laying a strong foundation for early literacy. One effective way to achieve this is by integrating biblical stories into our teaching methods. The "Printable Learn To Read With Bible Parables 12-Week Curriculum" offers a wonderful resource to do just that. Why Choose Bible Parables for Early Literacy? Bible parables are rich in moral lessons and simple narratives, making them ideal for young learners. Stories like "The Good Samaritan" or "The Lost Sheep" not only teach valuable life lessons but also introduce children to new vocabulary and sentence structures. By focusing on these stories, children can develop a deeper understanding of language while also learning about compassion, kindness, and other virtues. What the Curriculum Offers This 12-week curriculum is designed to be both educational and engaging. Each week focuses on a different parable, ...

We’re going to learn about the Creation through seeing, doing, and creating —fun ways to help the scriptures come alive. 1️⃣ Go on a Creation Walk Take a short walk with your children and look for things God created . You can match them to the days of Creation: Day 1: Light and dark → notice shadows and the sunlight Day 2: Sky and water → clouds, puddles, rivers Day 3: Plants → flowers, grass, trees Day 4: Sun, moon, stars → look at the sky Day 5: Birds and fish → watch birds or fish in a pond Day 6: Animals and people → notice pets, siblings, friend...

Week 2: I Am a Child of God Scriptures: Moses 1:1–4, 6, 12; Abraham 3:22–28 Theme: “I Am a Child of God” — and Heavenly Father has a special work for me to do! Hi friends! This week’s Come, Follow Me lesson helps our little ones learn one of the most powerful truths they’ll ever know — they are children of God! When we help preschoolers feel this truth, not just hear it, it changes how they see themselves and how they treat others. Let’s make this week full of love, learning, and discovery. 1. “I Am a Child of God” Mirror Message Scripture Focus: Moses 1:4 Give your child a small, safe mirror or a piece of foil to see their reflection. Say together: “I am a child of God.” Then take turns saying: “You are a child of God.” Extension ideas: Write the phrase I am a child of God in bubble letters and let your child trace it (fine motor + early reading). Match uppercase and lowercase letters from the phrase — “I” to “i,” “G” to “g.” Ask, “What does it mean t...

Welcome!

Welcome to Tiny Testimonies, Big Adventures! Hi friends! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Janille — a homeschooling mom, former Title 1 paraprofessional, and a firm believer that even the tiniest hearts can feel the Spirit and build a testimony of Jesus Christ. When my oldest children were little, I wanted and still want my little ones to have our  Come, Follow Me  lessons to be more than coloring pages and scripture storybooks. I want them to  move, build, sing, explore, count, and create  while learning the gospel. I want our mornings to feel like an adventure with Heavenly Father guiding every discovery. That’s how  Tiny Testimonies, Big Adventures  began. Each week, I’ll share  simple, original, play-based gospel activities  inspired by the  Come, Follow Me  lessons for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These activities help preschoolers: Strengthen their  faith and testimony Build early  reading and math ...
